The Chessboard of Shadows
2026-03-16
Beneath a sky
heavy as memory,
a silent chessboard stretches
without borders.
Continents tilt like pawns unaware of their power,
and their leaders, eyes open or closed,
move their hands over invisible lines.
Some moves seem logical,
like a river following its course.
Others appear random,
as if an unseen hand has altered a map we cannot hold.
And then you realize:
behind the complexity
lies a hidden secret,
an interest threading through everything,
and the chessboard lives
from what we cannot see.
At the edge of the chessboard,
every advantage has its price.
Every silence is a whisper people fear to hear.
And the observer does not only watch the moves,
but the space between them,
the void where true power hovers.
You notice the steps,
the pauses,
the repetitions,
like collecting traces of light in a dark corridor.
Each move, each strategic error,
reveals a bit of human passion:
the desire for recognition,
the greed,
the fear of loss,
the need to feel control
in a world that always surpasses itself.
And you realize:
the game is not merely a chessboard.
It is a map, a soul, a history.
And the shadows moving upon it
show more than the eyes can see.
There is that great secret,
never revealed,
the move that shapes the next,
the interest that gives meaning
to all the small games.
And yet, you watch.
With each breath,
with each thought,
you understand motives,
you foresee next moves,
and yet, the vastness of uncertainty remains.
For however much you comprehend,
something always lies beyond reach,
an unpredictable,
an underground light or darkness
that keeps the chessboard alive
and the world in turmoil.
And so you stand,
between knowledge and mystery,
between prediction and wonder,
knowing that peace, order, truth
are fragile pawns
in a game that no one fully possesses.
